The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) has initiated a movement known as the Green Apple Day of Service through its Center for Green Schools. The goal is to organize Service Projects at Educational Institutes around the world. As USGBC Education Partners, Green Technologies is dedicating this year’s Green Apple Day of Service to AUD.
This educational campaign is based on sustainability, LEED and Green Initiatives for Students, in the form of a seminar. This hour-long seminar would be presented by distinguished LEED Professionals at the AUD Campus. A summary or report of these activities, such as the number of Students and images of the Seminar, would be sent to USGBC by Green Technologies.
Engineering and architecture students that want to pursue a career in green building would be interested in this event.
“Green Apple Day of Service gives parents, teachers, students, companies and local organizations the opportunity to transform all schools into healthy, safe and productive learning environments through local service events. Since 2012, more than 750,000 volunteers in 73 countries have had an impact on the learning environments of 7 million students and teachers around the world.”
